New Mexico Poetry Review is a magazine of fine writing based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.   We invite submissions of strong, imaginative, well-crafted poems by both new talents and established writers.  NMPR also welcomes poetry-related essays, reviews, and interviews, especially those focusing on New Mexico poets.

About the editor:

Kathleen Johnson, editor and publisher of New Mexico Poetry Review, received her BFA in history of art and MFA in creative writing from the University of Kansas.  She is a freelance book critic, specializing in poetry.  Her collection of poems, Burn, published by Woodley Press in 2008, was selected as a Kansas Notable Book.   A new collection of poetry, Subterranean Red, will be published by Mongrel Empire Press in early 2012.
